DoosanÂ’s wholly owned subsidiary Rushlift, is launching a new Fleet Management System (FMS). Originally developed in 2005, the latest revision of the website allows all customers access to real-time fleet information on a 24/7 basis. This ensures customers are optimising their materials handling equipment.

Through Doosan RushliftÂ’s IT team at the Northampton (UK) premises, the FMS website has been developed in-house allowing the company to maintain and update as and when required, ensuring that customers are always kept up-to-date with the latest FMS functionality and website enhancments.

Each customer is provided with their own login details, enabling them to have complete visibility of their equipment and its history; this new online system allows customers to log breakdowns on a 24/7 basis, monitor uptime and fleet utilisation, request and authorise quotes for repairs, as well as review accounts information. The major benefit here is that these improvements to the FMS website enables the customer to make informed decisions based on real time information.

With the ability to log breakdowns and repairs online, there is no longer the need to make a phone call to report a problem. Once a job is registered online, the job is issued by the operations team to a Doosan Rushlift engineer, who will then action and arrange to resolve the problem.

The ‘Fleet Summary’ section allows the customer to monitor progress of any breakdowns or repairs, providing a live indication of the estimated time of arrival of the engineer as well as an update on the status of the job. This is also updated to the customers via email, if required.

Live information is fed into the FMS website from the engineerÂ’s tablet whenever they visit site with all maintenance records being updated in real time. Baoli Material Handling Europe has launched its new KBG series of LPG forklifts for the European market. The series provides trucks with load capacities between 1.5 and 3.5 tons. They share many components with the diesel models of the KB family, which Baoli has introduced over the past two years. Efficient maintenance of this product range is facilitated by easy access to the components.

The KBG series contains six models of LPG forklifts using just two different footprints. The truck with 2 tons load capacity stands out due to its compact dimensions, which are the same as of the models for 1.5 and 1.8 tons. Consequently the KBG20 model is very compact and competitively priced. The wheel base of these trucks measures just 1500 mm, the axle centre to fork face 435 mm and the overall width 1177 mm.

The KBG forklifts are equipped with the Japanese GCT K21 and K25 engines, which ensure high performance. The design of the overhead guard and the angular counterweight provide good visibility for the operator. The engine hood can be opened to an angle of 90 degrees enabling comfortable access for maintenance.

Energy efficient three-phase AC technology and high battery capacity offer long operating times, and for multi-shift operation the EKS 110 now also runs on lithium-ion batteries rated at 240 and 360 ampere hours. The fast charging time achieved with this battery technology means it takes only 30 minutes to reach a 50% charge, and 80 minutes for a 100% charge. Doosan has launched a completely new, electric 80-volt 2.2-ton to 3.5-ton capacity range of 4 wheel forklift truck models.

The latest additions to the 7-series range “continue to follow the Doosan tradition of delivering simple, powerful performance, while most importantly ensuring the best possible value for our customers,” said the company. “While maintaining reliability and durability, the new models significantly improve ergonomics for the operator’s comfort, all-round visibility and maneuverability. The expanded range, now including XL long wheelbase variants with increased battery capacity, means that Doosan has the most modern and widest ranges of electric counter-balance trucks to suit any electric truck application.”
