Logistics BusinessJeddah Project to Boost Logistics Services in Saudi Arabia

A new project in Saudi Arabia is set to expand and diversify the logistics opportunities available to customers in the Kingdom.

“The Modon 1 project in the heart of the Jeddah Industrial Area will provide more services to existing and future clients, explaining that through this project they will receive a collection of advanced solutions that are aligned with international standards.” said Hemanth Prakash, Managing Director of LogiPoint, a subsidiary of Saudi Industrial Services Co (SISCO), a publicly traded company in the Saudi Tadawul Index.

“The projects built in the form of Modon 1 are meant to be part of the vast diversity and acceleration of the Kingdom’s economy, providing opportunities for new and high-quality businesses. We are ready to innovate modern solutions that go hand in hand with global standards and expectations,” he continued.

“What makes Modon 1 interestingly unique is that it is fully equipped with all the facilities that are equivalent to international standards, which must be met by any logistics platform,” said Prakash.
Modon 1 is located in the first industrial zone in Jeddah, close to the Jeddah Islamic Port, allowing easy access while minimizing transport costs. The total area of the project is 120,000 Sq M.
The Managing Director pointed out that ” Modon 1 offers a variety of amenities for potential clients. For example, they can lease a space that is built to their exact needs and specifications or simply lease land with full infrastructure connectivity and build their warehouses themselves. To ensure long term sustainability for all parties, we typically offer contracts for up to 10 years and help in facilitating the design and construction to the client’s own standards.”

According to Prakash, Modon 1 is fully flexible and facilitates all design and construction operations in accordance to the customer’s own criteria. There are also ample parking spaces and open storage space for clients’ vehicles and goods so that they do not have to stand inside parking lots on the streets of the congested industrial zone.

“The economic reforms have encouraged a healthier economy because of better pricing for local, regional and international clients,” said Prakash. “LogiPoint is the first and largest one-million square metre bonded and re-export area of the Jeddah Islamic Port offering quality services such as transport warehousing, port services, joint packaging, etc., as well as complete operational support and solutions. In addition to that, its ideal location, is a major logistics service partner in the Red Sea region in cooperation with Jeddah Islamic Port and Saudi Customs.”

He added that LogiPoint has served the largest and most important businesses in the Kingdom and the Gulf region for the past 17 years. He also stressed on the importance of providing high quality logistics services in Saudi ports, industrial areas and storage areas in remote regions.
