Logistics BusinessTrailer Maker Updates Telematics Database for all Customers

Burtenbach-based trailer manufacturer Kögel is to provide all existing and future telematics customers with a new professional, high-performance telematics database, starting from IAA 2018. The “connected trailers” fitted with the Kögel Trailer telematics module send data directly to the new high-performance database. This is based on a shared solution with the well-established, vendor-independent integration software NIC-place, made by Kempten-based company kasasi. It allows Kögel Telematics customers to import trailers’ EBS, geolocation, refrigeration, tyre and trailer data into existing processes and into a wide range of software systems in real time.

Kögel Telematics Connectivity aims to offer a high degree of reliable data provision and to deliver telematics data as needed, precisely tailored to the customer’s requirements and processes. The database collects all of the telematics system’s information in a single interface, prepares the data according to the request and forwards it to third-party systems. Going forward, Kögel Telematics Connectivity will naturally provide data to the Kögel Telematics web portal and for other fleet management systems as well.
