Trailer specialist Kögel has announced  important new hires.

Josef Warmeling (pictured) returned to the business on 1 April 2018 following his leave of absence and has taken up the post of Managing Director for Sales in Western Europe, Used Vehicles, Value Added Services, Associations and OEMs. His appointment alongside fellow managing directors Petra Adrianowytsch, Thomas Heckel, Thomas Eschey and Massimo Dodoni will not only strengthen the management team, but also the clout of the business. Since Kögel has grown considerably faster than the market in recent years, responsibility for Kögel Sales in the future will rest on two strong pairs of shoulders.

The new appointment will form a double spearhead in Sales, where Josef Warmeling will be responsible for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Benelux states, France, Spain, Portugal, Scandinavia and the United Kingdom. He will also drive forward and expand value added services like Kögel finance, full service, telematics and the used vehicle business. He will also be responsible for the company’s collaborative work with associations and OEMs.

In his capacity as Managing Director for Sales, Massimo Dodoni is responsible for Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Hungary, Slovakia, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Poland, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. He will also develop attractive new markets for Kögel. Even more focus will increasingly be placed on the After Market division, to fully meet the requirements of Kögel customers throughout Europe.

“My previous managing directors have done an excellent job in recent years, and we have grown at a faster rate than average,” says Ulrich Humbaur, sole owner of Kögel Trailer GmbH & Co. KG. “To consolidate and build on this growth, and even more importantly, our customer focus in the coming years, I have chosen Josef Warmeling as an additional managing director, who will put his skills to good use in the areas entrusted to him.”

“I am looking forward to my new role on the Kögel team,” says Warmeling. “Over the next few years, our goal is to close the gap between ourselves and our big market competitors, and to continue to position ourselves as a strong number three in Europe. We will place a clear focus on our customer’s requirements for the future: high flexibility, short downtimes, low life cycle costs and premium-quality products.”

“The new managing director appointments are a step towards a secure and successful future for Kögel,” adds Ulrich Humbaur. “Kögel is a reputable brand with high-quality products and huge potential. As a result, Kögel holds a firm position as a premium manufacturer and innovative partner among its customers.”

At the same time, Thomas Purschke has been named Sales Director for Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and the UK.
