Logistics BusinessFirst Automated Document Applicator Sold By German Developer

Inther Logistics Engineering BV & SRD Maschinenbau GmbH has sold its first Automated Document Applicator (ADA) to the warehouse of hardware store BAUHAUS in Krefeld (Germany).

The ADA is a completely new product – and the first machine developed by system integrator Inther together with machinery company SRD – which fully automates the application of documents to the exterior of boxes. ADA prints, buffers, folds and applies documents with a docufoil to boxes. Both the size of the box, and the position on which the document should be attached, can vary constantly. ADA always ensures that the right document is applied to the right box.

At last year’s Logistica show in Utrecht (Netherlands), Inther won the Logistica Audience Award for this machine.

BAUHAUS is one of the biggest DIY companies in Europe and number two in Germany. It is implementing ADA in order to improve the efficiency of their packing process, a process which will happen with Inther & SRD in autumn 2016.
