Logistics BusinessExpansion Plans for UK Fulfilment Specialist Hallmark

UK-based fulfilment specialist Hallmark Consumer Services has kicked off expansion plans to double the size of its warehousing and fulfilment operations over the next five years, which it says will support its ongoing and projected growth and new business pipeline.

The Melton Mowbray-based fulfilment company originally purchased the 40,000 sq ft warehouse and depot as its UK headquarters in 2013, and since then it has recorded annual turnover of more than £5million each year.

The first phase of the five-year growth plan has involved the construction of a new 8,000 sq ft of bespoke storage and shelving space built as an upper floor mezzanine, creating an additional 2500 locations for carton picks and enhanced storage and shipping facility for an even greater range in goods size.

The construction has completed on time and ahead of the seasonal surge in client orders around Black Friday and in the run-up to Christmas, and Hallmark is shortly to launch its seasonal recruitment drive to help cope with demand.

Founded in 1992, Hallmark provides a range of outsourced services including bespoke fulfilment, contract packing, direct mail and logistics solutions to a range of clients.
