One of the world’s fastest growing plastics companies has made a multi-million pound investment in manufacturing facilities across two continents.

OnePlastics Group has expanded its production capabilities with an investment of over £6 million at two sites of its Protech business in Ireland and China – which will create 25 new jobs.

The company says: “This strategic move allows both facilities within the OnePlastics stable to increase production and develop innovative plastics packaging and product solutions to clients in its chosen markets domestically and internationally. The latest investment is another sign of the group’s long-term strategy to position its portfolio of six businesses into industry leaders in their respective sectors.”


Over the last 12 months, OnePlastics Group has invested millions on new machinery as it looks to build on its position as one of the fastest-growing businesses in the sector.

The investment in Ireland will result in the development of a state of the art food grade manufacturing facility with new machinery and automation tools at the site of Protech Performance Plastics in Little Island, Cork.

It will allow the company to produce innovative packaging products to support the growing Irish food industry to develop world-class production technologies and automation.

Protech currently supplies leading-edge containers to a range of customers and designs and manufactures specialist plastic components for multinational firms in the nutrition, pharmaceutical and data storage sectors.

Protech’s facility at Cork also hosts the OnePlastics Group’s dedicated Innovation Centre of Excellence which was established in 2015 to foster innovation and new product development across the OnePlastics Group
