Tray Specialist Launches Battery Transport Version

Packaging specialist Bekuplast has developed a bespoke tray for the transport of battery shells.

The worlds largest factory for lithium-ion cells and battery packs for use in electric cars, for example, is currently being built in Nevada (USA). Bekuplast has designed a 600 x 500 mm tray for the battery manufacturers internal transport.

The injection-moulded tray has cavities for safely holding the battery shells in place. A tray can be filled with 460 battery shells in a fully automated fashion. The shells are transported together with the tray inside the plant for further processing. The trays are equipped with two in-mould labels for identification.
