Logistics BusinessYour Chance to Win the CEE Logistics Excellence Award

TRANSLOG Connect Congress is Central and Eastern Europe’s leading B2B networking event for transportation, logistics and supply chain management professionals. It takes place annually in November in Budapest. Organisers say the event is not only the most influential regional congress for executives but also an essential event in terms of new business relations.

During the eight years of its existence, it has also started to build a regional, cross-industrial business community of professionals, who are seeking to expand their knowledge base, strengthen and create partnerships and explore the most innovative logistics solutions available on the market. Every year, the Congress accommodates the award ceremony of the CEE Logistics and Supply Chain Management Excellence Award where the winners receive honourable recognition by the industry.

Start-ups, small and big organisations, manufacturers, retailers or logistics solution providers with a customer are all welcome to apply for the award with a project that was executed in one of the countries within the CEE region (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, Albania, Montenegro, Macedonia and Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania). The application should contain the description of the innovative method or technique, the aims of the implemented project, the stages of the development and implementation, the achieved results as well as an executive summary.

On the first day of the regional event, 13th November, the awarded solutions will be announced and crowned with an international recognition. Both category winners will have the unique chance to put their most outstanding products, services or best practices in the spotlight, by presenting their projects to an audience of over 500 logistics and supply chain management professionals and senior decision makers from over 30 countries, aiming to raise their visibility on the professional horizon. The organiser – TEG The Events Group – is supporting the winning projects with additional PR activities via more than 40 local and international media partners as well as associations highlighting the best innovations in each category.

The jury – consisting of international experts – evaluates proven solutions based on the level of innovation, flexibility, sustainability, cost effectiveness and customer value-contribution which promotes a contribution to the dynamic development of the CEE region from a logistics, transportation and supply chain management perspective and to further stimulate the effectiveness of industry players.

The jury in 2018 includes Prof. Dr. Sebastian Kummer, Head of the Institute for Transport and Logistics Management at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, Stefan Putzlocher, Head of Global Warehouse and Facility Planning, Global Service and Parts (GSP) at Daimler, Adina Banesc, Head of International Logistics at TESY, Niclas Bastian, Logistics Manager Central Region EE, Logistics Key Account Adhesive Electronics Europe at Henkel Central Eastern Europe, Roman Zorman, Regional Logistics Director at Studio Moderna and Sven Menten, Global Category Manager Logistics & Packaging at Leoni.
