DENSO WAVE EUROPE is to present its latest range of RFID devices at RFID & Wireless IoT Tomorrow, the continent’s largest event for the technologies. It will take place on October 29-30, 2019 in Darmstadt, Germany. Exhibitors from all over the world will present their solutions for mobile data collection, data collection devices such as scanners and handhelds, as well as new devices for the Internet of Things (IoT). DENSO WAVE EUROPE will present their innovative RFID devices SP1 and SE1-BUB-C at stand 64. The IoT Data Server will also be showcased. In addition, Dirk Gelbrich, General Manager Technical Department at DENSO WAVE EUROPE, will be giving a talk on ORiN, the data management platform deployed in more than 130 DENSO factories.

The SP1 RFID Scanner from DENSO WAVE EUROPE, part of the Toyota Group, offers advantages for users from, for example, logistics or warehouse management as well as from the retail sector. The scanner manages to speed up processes by up to 50 percent as it adds modern RFID technology to the existing smart device. To do this, a QR Code on the SP1 RFID scanner is read with an existing smart device. As easy as that, the SP1 RFID scanner and the smart device are then linked via Bluetooth. That is how the SP1 RFID scanner from DENSO WAVE EUROPE turns a simple smart device into a high-speed UHF reader. Thus, higher performance is possible thanks to RFID. The latest handheld terminals BHT-1700 and BHT-1800 from the experts for mobile data collection can also be linked to the SP1 RFID scanner. It can be tested directly at DENSO WAVE EUROPE’s booth at the RFID & Wireless IoT tomorrow.

Specialists from DENSO, part of the Toyota Group, will also showcase the SE1-BUB-C: a modern pocket-size scanner with RFID technology. It was specially developed for scanning individual RFID tags at a close range. Hence, the optimal scanning distance is about three centimetres. The SE1-BUB-C scanner can even convert any RFID tag written in SGTIN-96 into an EAN code. This means that the same scan unit can be used for both RFID tags and barcodes. The unintentional scanning of RFID tags in the immediate vicinity of the scanner is prevented automatically by the SE1-BUB-C (shown above). connecting the SE1-BUB-C to other Bluetooth devices is easy: a setup code is scanned. After that, the devices are connected. The pocket-size scanner weighs only about 70 grams and can therefore be worn comfortably throughout the day. This is an advantage especially when consulting customers: Employees can carry out an inventory while advising, thus enabling a modern shopping experience. Visitors of the RFID & Wireless IoT tomorrow can also test – and be convinced by – the possibilities of the SE1-BUB-C scanner at stand 64 of DENSO WAVE EUROPE.
