Siemens Postal Hires New COO from Interroll

Dr. Ralf Garlichs (55) has been named in the newly created post of Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Siemens Postal, Parcel & Airport Logistics GmbH. He will also become part of the executive managing board of the company and joins on July 1st.
Siemens Postal, Parcel & Airport Logistics describes itself as “developing in a stable, positive way in the sustainably growing markets of international logistics for more than three years”. The new functional area has been created to focus further on improving operational performance as well as company growth. Dr. Garlichs will be responsible for all operational, technical function units worldwide.
A highly qualified mechanical engineer (Dipl.-Ing.), Dr. Garlichs has longstanding international experience in leading positions at renowned companies in the conveyor system and logistics industries. He will be best known to readers of Logistics Business from his interviews undertaken in his time at conveyor roller specialist Interroll in recent years.
