Staffordshire (UK)-based returnable transit packaging (RTS) solutions company PPS have turned a £1.8 million investment in machinery and equipment to grow its turnover by 15% over the past 12 months.

Its services include supply, collection, washing and repair and management of all types of returnable packaging such as plastic pallets, crates and containers.

Next year, the company – which boasts a workforce of around 100 staff and operates 24/7 363 days a year – is looking to further build on its success. It is planning a £400,000 investment in new equipment and implementing staff development schemes. It comes after the firm secured major new contracts to work with two of the largest food companies in the UK.

Joanne said: “We have made a significant investment over the past 12 months in pallets, crates and new washing equipment because we need to be ready for anything. The main industry that we deal with is the food industry, which is very fast-moving, so we always need to be prepared and ready to respond.”

She added: “We will also be focusing on investing in staff training to help progress our people and grow the business even more.”
