KLG Europe Extends Quintiq Deal to Optimize Groupage Effort

Quintiq, a Dassault Systèmes company and global player in supply chain planning and optimization (SCP&O), announced today that KLG Europe has chosen to extend its partnership with the solution provider.
KLG Europe is a Netherlands-based third-party logistics provider that delivers to over 60 countries. The company offers a complete package of logistics services, with a focus on groupage services in Europe. It is the market leader in groupage transport between the Netherlands and France. The renewed partnership will enable Quintiq to provide support for all of KLG Europe’s operations while meeting the strict rules and regulations that govern the transport sector.
Since 2004, KLG Europe has used Quintiq to support one of its major operations ― consolidation and groupage transport in Europe through KLG Europe’s main hub in Eersel, The Netherlands. Three different planning departments (export, import and Benelux) collaborate on a single Quintiq system.
With the enhanced Quintiq solution, KLG Europe will continue to significantly improve capacity and resource utilization ― for example, more accurate estimates of loading and unloading times at customer sites and smarter decisions in matters such as cross-docking. The logistics provider can look forward to minimizing empty miles and maximizing fill rates much more effectively while its planners enjoy increased control over their planning processes.
