New Logistics Centre for northern Ruhr, Germany

Arvato, Bertelsmanns international service provider subsidiary, is planning to build a state-of-the-art logistics centre in the inter-municipal Dorsten/Marl Industrial Park, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.

The first phase of construction will consist of three halls and a central office building with an area totaling 28,200 square metres. The project is expected to have a total investment of 30 million. The property also has an expansion area for the construction of 12 hall modules.

The new location in northern Ruhr will provide comprehensive B2B and B2C logistics services for Arvato customers from various industries. The services include order processing and inventory management, consignment sales, assembly and special services, delivery and transport management as well as returns processing.

Foundations work is expected to begin late March 2016, weather permitting.
