Logistics BusinessExpanding UK Shuttle Joins Pallet-Track Network

Wiltshire-based logistics company UK Shuttle has started its dramatic growth trajectory by becoming the latest member of the expanding Pallet-Track network.

The expanding company, which has seen 20 per cent growth in volume and turnover in the last 12 months, plans to move to larger premises in Swindon early 2016 as part of its ambition to double its size in the next three years, has become the 80th company to join Pallet-Track.

The 25-year-old business which employs 40 people and provides vehicles for every service – from parcels to pallets – will service part of the SN & RG post codes on behalf of Pallet-Track.

Chairman Syed Ziaullah said: “Joining the Pallet-Track network in Swindon complements my other depot in Northampton, who are a founder member depot, which provides the benefit of corporate identity and uniformity, together with being part of a very forward-focussed network with industry-leading technology. In addition there are the economies of scale that allow us the flexibility to offer economy quarter pallets, which is something we have not been able to do before. This opens up new markets for us, which contributes to our ambitious growth strategy.

“Pallet-Track is one of the best independent networks in the UK, and our joining means that we can provide first class service nationally with passionate local customer care and knowledge – the best of both worlds in terms of first class customer care and delivery.”

As well as signing up eight new UK members during 2015, the award-winning Pallet-Track network has developed a strong European partnership with Hellmann Worldwide Logistics which launched last year.

Nigel Parkes, founder and managing director at Pallet-Track, said: “UK Shuttle has developed strong brand recognition in the Swindon area and is growing in size and ambition – exactly the type of company that will enhance the Pallet-Track reputation for excellence across the UK. We are very pleased about having the business on board for what will be a very exciting journey that will see us both grow together.”
