Having made an investment of almost € 3 Million in new equipment during 2015, Dutch dry bulk multimodal specialist, Broekema Bulk bv, is about to invest a further €1.2 million to further enhance its fleet.

Specialising in both the food & non-food sectors, the Nederweert (NL) based intermodal specialist increased its fleet to 300-plus silotank containers and 40 road silotankers during 2015. This included 35 30ft LAG lightweight sugar containers for the food fleet together with new lightweight 30ft tipping chassis which are also manufactured by LAG. There were also some additional 61m3 LAG road silotankers introduced as part of the Broekema Bulk ongoing replacement policy.

They will now increase the fleet in 2016 with an additional fifteen (15) 30ft LAG silotank containers for additional bulk sugar movements plus three thirty feet LAG tipping chassis and two 40ft LAG tipping chassis together with ten (10) new LAG 61m3 road silotankers.

The LAG aluminium lightweight tipping chassis are fitted with several unique safety features for unloading as well as having discharge manifolds on the side of the chassis. The lightweight sugar tank containers have a tare weight of 2000 kgs to offer a beneficial payload to customers.
