Air And Ocean Freight Marketplace Launched

Online platform Colo21 AG As is offering forwarders the opportunity to market their services in air and ocean freight.

Displaying port-to-port (air or sea) services is free of charge. The offers of forwarders are visible to shippers worldwide and shippers can contact forwarders via an integrated offer request tool. “We have already shown with groupage shipments that the system works”, says Jörg Frommeyer, Chairman of the Management Board of Colo21 AG. “Now we are transferring this logic step by step to other modes of transport and supply chains.”

Since the launch in March 2015, freight forwarders have processed 850,000 groupage shipments via E-Groupage, the online-platform of COLO21 AG. This means nearly 100 shipments per hour for the entire year. By year end 2015, 450 freight forwarders and transport companies had registered in order to build or optimize road freight groupage networks and/or market their networks to both shippers or new partners. By doing so, they could gain new shipments to increase the payloads for their line hauls and distribution networks. The companies are located in all parts of Europe and offer services in 35 countries.

COLO21 AG develops and operates innovative, web-based forwarding solutions.
