Logistics BusinessPartnership agreement will provide single source order fulfilment and contact centre solution

Berkshire-based supply chain services company, Walker Logistics, has announced that it has entered a partnership agreement with Expolink – a well-established and highly regarded UK based contact centre solutions specialist.

Under the terms of the agreement the two companies will work together to provide their range of complementary services to companies seeking scalable and flexible order fulfilment and contact centre support from a single source supplier.

“Walker offer a host of value-added services beyond storage, stock management, order processing, pick and pack and returns management and our ability to now provide contact centre facilities will be welcomed by both existing and potential clients alike,”
said William Walker, Walker Logistics’ sales and marketing director.

He continued: “By formally partnering with Expolink, Walker Logistics can offer the streamlined and seamless interaction between all stages of customer engagement and order fulfilment processes that retailers and B2B clients demand – from a single source.”

Located in Chippenham, a short distance from Walker’s head office, Expolink was founded in 1995 and is, like Walker Logistics, a family-run business. It offers a variety of both inbound and outbound contact centre services and employs over 200 staff.

In practical terms, clients of Walker Logistics that require call centre support as a value added part of their logistics services contract, will continue to deal directly with Walker. Expolink customers who wish to add warehousing or distribution services to the contact centre work that Expolink undertake on their behalf will maintain their interface with Expolink. Both companies remain independent and are effectively pooling their individual specialisms to benefit those clients looking for a combined outsourced customer service and fulfilment solution.

Expolink’s head of sales, Grant Stevens, commented: “Traditionally, Walker and Expolink have supported the ecommerce and mail order retail industry in different ways but we are increasingly asked if, in addition to our contact centre activity, we can undertake fulfilment services. We believe that the synergies between our companies will bring significant opportunities to both parties and our respective clients.”
