Logistics BusinessCompact & Bale Year End Shows 11% Growth in ‘Best Year Ever’

Compact & Bale Ltd has seen many successes and changes since its launch in July 2000. However, it is in its 15th year of trading that the waste & recycling equipment specialist has had its most successful year ever. As well as showing an 11% increase in sales, the company installed 2 of its flagship fully automatic Strautmann BaleTainer baling presses in October, one to a popular high street fashion retailer and the other to a well-known health food company.

With continued growth comes further changes for the business as they bid farewell to MD, Denise Wilton after ten years of service and welcome a new GM Nick Jewitt.

With years of experience in managerial roles and customer-facing environments, Nick Jewitt joined Compact & Bale in October 2015. One of his first challenges is to lead the company through ISO accreditation during the first quarter of 2016. Nick says ‘I’ve known Steve Burnett since before he formed Compact & Bale. I was one of his first customers and we’ve done business together ever since! I have always liked Compact & Bale’s values and honesty in business and I know that having worked for 35 years in the FM industry I have a good understanding of our customers’ requirements.’

Having welcomed 3 new employees in 2015, it is with great sadness that Compact & Bale will say goodbye to Managing Director, Denise Wilton after over 10 years with the business. ‘Working with Compact & Bale since 2004, I have seen it grow dramatically and undergo many changes over the years. I am very pleased to be leaving the company in good shape having just delivered its best annual performance yet.’ Denise says ‘Furthermore, I look forward to continuing to work as a consultant with Nick and the team to ensure continued success as the company looks to become the preferred supplier of intelligent compaction equipment and services to the UK’s leading companies.’
