Innovative Battery Charging Technology at LogiMAT

Fronius, will present its wide range of battery charging products and services at LogiMAT 2016 (March 8-16, Stuttgart). The main highlight will be the Ri charging process, which was developed by Fronius and has completely revolutionised the charging of batteries for electrically powered forklift trucks. By increasing energy efficiency during charging, and thereby reducing energy costs, it extends the service life of the batteries.
On its LogiMAT stand (Hall 8, Stand 8C75) the specialist will demonstrate the benefits they claim this innovative charging process brings. These include reducing energy loss at the start of charging and during the recharging phase, thereby lowering energy costs and CO2 emissions. Ultra cool and gentle charging significantly increases the service life of the batteries, while safety during charging and the availability of the forklift trucks are also enhanced. The Ri charging process takes into account the individual condition of the battery, keeping overcharging to a minimum.
From this year onwards, Fronius is an official partner of the International Forklift Truck of the Year Award (IFOY AWARD), which recognises achievement in the global intralogistics industry, and is making its battery charging technology available for the IFOY test.
