On January 31, IMPERIAL Logistics International has sold its 75-percent stake in the A.L.S. Allgemeine Land- und Seespedition GmbH to the Duisburg based entrepreneur Richard Zappe. The Zappe family already held 25 per cent of the shares. With the divestment of A.L.S., which was part of neska Group, IMPERIAL Logistics International has sold the last neska Group company and thus disposed all companies and investments belonging to neska Group.


About A.L.S. Allgemeine Land- und Seespedition

The A.L.S. Allgemeine Land- und Seespedition GmbH work with every transportation mode when organising the entire delivery chain for chemicals, steel, break bulk cargo and containers. Among the firm’s specialties are steel industry logistics, hazmat storage, and climate-controlled storage. These are augmented by the appropriate value added services including organising shipment, filling, storing samples, and the dispatch of coastal and inland barges. At its two sites – the Duisburg Port and Bottrop – A.L.S. maintains 104,000 square meters of storage area. It operates seven cranes with maximum capacity of 45 tonnes. The company employs 60 people.
