Logistics BusinessMORE NEW MEMBERS FOR PALL-EX

A trio of new members have been unveiled as the latest addition to the UK network of Pall-Ex.

Bristol-based haulier I.C Express and Ipswich’s Magnus Group both join the palletised freight network as part of Pall-Ex’s deal with UK Pallets.

The agreement, which forms part of UK Pallets’ proposed closure process, sees Pall-Ex recommended as the network of choice to the 73 hauliers affected by the plans, offering both consistency and reliability.

I.C Express joins Pall-Ex to cover the BS postcode area, whilst Magnus Group takes control of deliveries and collections in a proportion of IP, CM and CO postcode zones.

Earlier this month, Kenneth Howley Transport of Castleford, West Yorkshire, became the first UK Pallets haulier to be welcomed into the Pall-Ex membership.

Pall-Ex Group managing director Kevin Buchanan said:

“Through our meetings with UK Pallets members, it’s become clear that we’re best placed to offer consistency for the customer base of these hauliers. Not only are we able to grow our own network, with the addition of quality new members who share our vision of partnership and quality, but we can also help these businesses to thrive and grow in their own right.

“It’s a mutually beneficial process.”

Explaining the reasons behind the move to Pall-Ex, I.C Express’ managing director Ian Crook said:

“Whilst many networks are remaining stagnant, we saw that Pall-Ex is bucking that trend. It’s a network that is moving forwards, which is clearly the way ahead to enable us to offer our customers the level of service they’ve come to expect from us.

“We have a reputation as Bristol’s leading logistics provider and Pall-Ex is well placed to not only maintain, but also improve that image.”

Kevin Parker, managing director of Magnus Group, agrees that future vision and passion were evident from the initial meeting with the Pall-Ex team:

“There’s a definite synergy in the core values of the network and our own business. I feel we at Magnus are also forward thinking and keen to grasp development at every opportunity. It quickly became obvious that both parties are driven by results and both want excellence to be synonymous with their brand name.”

In addition to the arrival of I.C Express and Magnus Group, South Link of West Sussex completes the trio of new members, covering a range of BN postcode areas.
