Coveted Design Award For AUER Packaging

AUER Packaging, special provider of transportation and warehouse containers, has won this year’s iF Design Award.
This coveted design prize has been awarded every year since 1953 and is considered to be one of the world’s most important awards for outstanding design accomplishments. The prize was awarded for both the assortment and tool boxes manufactured and marketed by the Amerang-based family enterprise since 2016. The number of their awards has thus increased to four.
“Our assortment and tool boxes provide perfect overview when sorting and storing small parts and tools. What makes them impressive are their versatile application possibilities, the ease of use that becomes obvious in many details, and their first-class design,” explains Robert Auer, manager partner of Auer Packaging. “The fact that the expert jury of the renowned iF Design Awards deemed this fit to be awarded fills us with pride and confirms our conviction that practical things can definitely be elegant at the same time,” he added.
The jury, consisting of 58 experts from design, industry and architecture, recognised the consistently clean form language of assortment and tool boxes that also boast optimal product functionality. Auer Packaging proved its superiority in the packaging category against 320 rivals. All in all, the jury evaluated 5,575 submissions from 69 countries.
With the system-box program, equipment and tools can be clearly arranged, safely transported and easily handled. Five sizes of assortment boxes with transparent, spring-loaded lids stand for orderliness and overview. The ergonomic handle can be completely retracted, which makes it easy to store the box compactly. The open lid remains at a 90 degree angle and can be securely closed with a single flick of the hand. When the lid snaps into place with an audible click, the box is correctly closed, so that small parts cannot fall out. The assortment boxes are available with convenient insertions in nine sizes and six standard colours. Upon ordering, the boxes can be individually completed with customised insertions or with one of the nine pre-templated placement propositions.
The tool-box system with tool boxes, basic tool boxes, and tool box rack has been configured for use by both craftsmen and self-employed persons (photographers, engineers, etc.), field staff, companies and individuals. The new box system consists of stackable containers. The standard containers are available in two basic sizes and boast large capacity. When stacked, the boxes can be safely interconnected by means of an innovative connection system.
With a working load of 160kg, transport roller toolbox and sack barrow toolbox will bring weighty and bulky objects from A to B. The base plate of the two mobile assistants is equipped with a connection system. Combined with toolboxes or rack the transport roller transforms into a tool trolley or mobile small-parts warehouse.
AUER Packaging GmbH, headquartered in Amerang (Upper Bavaria), specializes in the production and distribution of transportation and warehouse containers made of synthetic material. The delivery programme ranges from open fronted storage bins, rack and material flow containers (C parts) for high-bay rackings via round or oval containers for the chemicals and food industry up to stackable small-load carriers, large-load carriers, euro containers and pallets in various sizes and models.
