Kuehne + Nagel is to restructure in European markets “in order to best exploit business opportunities.” The logistics giant will establish two organisational units, Central / Eastern Europe and Western Europe as of October 1, 2016.

Under the roof of the region Central / Eastern Europe with its head office in Hamburg, Kuehne + Nagel will consolidate the German organisation and the Eastern European countries. The Western Europe region will be headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands, as of October 1, 2016.

Dr. Hansjoerg Rodi will join the Kuehne + Nagel Group effective October 1, 2016, and lead the Central / Eastern Europe region. From 2008 to 2015 Dr. Rodi was Chief Executive Officer Central Europe region at DB Schenker Logistics.

Peder Winther will become Regional Manager Western Europe. Successor in his current position as Head of the Middle East / Africa region will be Erwin Wittemaier.
