Megatrailers Add Capacity to Single Loads for Palletised Freight Network

Palletised freight specialist Pall-Ex has expanded its European network with the incorporation of two new Megatrailers, modular vehicles of 25m in length with capacity for 52 pallets. The move comes in collaboration with Spanish members, Almacenes Mínguez, based in Valladolid, and Cotrali, from Zaragoza.

The cited vehicle advantages are cost-savings arising from transporting higher tonnage, as well as sustainability benefits achieved through a single vehicle carrying more load..

The two megatrucks are already in full operation. Almacenes Minguez covers the Palencia/Valladolid-Madrid route, while Cotrali looks after Zaragoza-Madrid. It’s estimated that each will carry around 30,000 pallets a year.

Pall-Ex is now looking to boost its support for this new transport format by adding new units to its network.
