Logistics BusinessTakeover Consolidates Logistics Provision in East Anglia

James Dolan Limited, a provider of transport and logistic services based in East Anglia (UK), has bought Ipswich-based logistics provider Dooley Rumble.

The transaction completes a busy couple of years for James Dolan Limited after it purchased Green & Skinner (Haulage) Limited based in Ipswich 18 months ago. Bringing the three companies together will create a group with turnover in excess of £10m with significant synergies and complementary activities.

Dooley Rumble celebrated 30 years of trading this year and is based in Great Blakenham near Ipswich. It was originally set up by former directors Neil Dooley and Simon Rumble who had both previously worked for a Ipswich branch of a shipping company for almost ten years.

Group Managing Director James Dolan commented: “I am proud to have secured two of the most iconic logistics companies in the region. These acquisitions are a very positive move for the group, and we are looking forward to the opportunities and benefits they will bring. The expertise of each company complements each other well, and by bringing the two together we can expand our capabilities and resources to benefit our customers. Green & Skinner will move over to the larger Dooley Rumble site as soon as possible under the guidance of the Group Operations Director, Ian Madgwick. Personally, I am looking forward to the future and I am positive everyone will flourish and help build a successful group of companies, that we can all be proud of.”
