Logistics BusinessCarousel Logistics and LSi Join Forces in Pan-European Partnership

UK logistics provider Carousel and German-based LSi Logistiks are to join forces. In a statement the companies said that by bringing together infrastructure, networks and assets, the new pan-European partnership will extend the global footprint of each company and offer existing clients an even wider service offering and enhance existing operations. Combining more than 45 years’ expertise, and its leading-edge innovative technology solutions, the merge will also open up new opportunities for both businesses’ clients.

Reinhard Klausner will remain as LSi’s Managing Director, and also join the Carousel Executive Board. There will be no name change to LSi nor any changes to its current operation teams.
The creation of an enhanced organisation will enhance the business operation of both LSi and Carousel for the benefits of all existing clients and partners. LSi clients will benefit from an exceptional, high quality UK distribution network, while Carousel’s client base will have access to an innovative range of personalised solutions in areas such as Spain, Poland, Germany and Switzerland. Both businesses boast a plethora of experience in customs for the import and export market, an area of expertise growing in importance for all EU businesses.

Having worked together for more than seven years, Carousel and LSi both specialise in creating personalised logistics solutions, underpinned by leading-edge technology and exceptional customer service.

Commenting on the deal, Graham Martin, CEO at Carousel says, “This announcement is the perfect coming together of two companies and one that is incredibly timely, given the recent changes to the European landscape.

“As individual companies, we each offer personalised solutions with a unified passion for excellence. We both start with our customers and work back from there to ensure we create the very best logistics solutions possible, and with such synergies it seemed only natural that the two companies should become one. During our time working together, we have found that separately we’re great, but together we’re even better. So this merger is all about offering our clients even better solutions and more opportunities than ever before.”

Reinhard Klausner, CEO, at LSi Logistiks said: “We’re delighted to be making this announcement today. Carousel and LSi are both experts in their markets, sharing not only clients, but also a DNA for delivering high quality, customer-driven logistics, without the need to compromise.

“We’ve worked with Graham and his team for many years and while this partnership is simply a formalisation of our existing relationship, together we offer a really exciting opportunity to our clients. Having combined our networks, unrivalled expertise, plus local knowledge and leading-edge technology we know we are bringing a very unique offering to the market. We are both really looking forward to the future as one.”
