Dealer Network Offers “Breakthrough” Tyre Service Programme

A new tyre service for forklift operators promises” to make life a whole lot simpler and economical” – that’s what TCM are saying, at least. It offers to shift the responsibility away from the operator to “micro-manage the condition, safety and replacement of forklift tyres and instead enjoy a service that handles everything within a managed agreement”.

The TCM dealer network has agreed what it says is a breakthrough collaboration with Solideal, the UK’s market-leader in tyres for materials handling. The new service dubbed – TCM – Tyre Service Options by Solideal – offers several alternative solutions depending on the type of operation for tyre management, replacement and cost control.

It provides a bolt-on service to TCM Dealer’s extensive service offer for materials handling operators that now extends to a managed service for tyres. Options can include a complete tyre management package which tracks and monitors the tyre condition and duty to safely optimise its service life and ensure replacement is executed efficiently with minimal downtime and with completely controlled costs.

TCM say that there collaboration with Solideal means that customers can avoid the delay and inconvenience of tyre replacement, instead ensure that they run tyres that offer the right level of quality and durability aligned to the trucks operation.

The service is backed by software that can track every truck and provide cost and operating information for fleet managers, designed to fix and control costs and avoid trucks laying idle waiting for tyre replacement.

As the offer has several options, this also means that customers can choose a similar, but self-managed alternative that offers a comparable level of control but allows the customers to choose and plan the detailed aspects of tyre management.
