Logistics BusinessPost-Expo Launch for Software Development Innovation

Independent software vendor The Information Factory is launching the[i]platform; described as a plug & play approach to software development combining the unique features & flexibility of custom built solutions with the convenience and price advantage provided by off-the-shelf packages.

The[i]platform is designed to support a broad range of requirements including; digitalisation, data analytics, automation, workflow and forecasting. At its Post-Expo launch The Information Factory (development team pictured) will showcase the platform’s effectiveness with some recently created logistics solutions such as tender management, dynamic pricing & sales planning.

The recent explosion in the quantity of data available to postal, logistics & express companies prompted development of the[i]platform. While the information generated by newly available data can be extremely valuable there is a danger that its sheer volume becomes overwhelming – unless it’s harnessed effectively. The[i]platform solves this problem. After consolidating & organising data from sources such as ERP & CRM systems and data warehouses the[i]platform puts the data to work, creating actionable information and insights that drive decision making and workflow.

CEO Robert Jordan states “Contained within the[i]platform is a range of pre-built, tested and ready to go components which lets us focus on what really matters; developing the unique software features demanded by our customers – at speed and with consistently high product quality”.

After progressing the idea from concept to production the[i]platform was successfully tested in a live environment with two logistics clients and is ready for Post Expo’s global audience.
