Logistics Business3PL Shortens Invoicing Time by Three Days with Integrated System

The French company MDS, specialized in logistics services for book retailers and located in Dourdan, near Paris, is integrating the invoicing system inconsoLSA (Logistics Services Accounting) developed by inconso. The logistics services provider chose a system that creates operational flexibility when invoicing the services rendered for publishing companies’ customers.

The regulations applying to the publishing industry are usually considered insufficiently by common market software, as is evidenced by the calculation of staging and shipping costs which results from the percentages of the untaxed consumer price. The decisive criteria for inconsoLSA were the system’s configuration options, on the basis of which the system implementation was commissioned. With inconsoLSA, the logistics software specialist inconso provides a system that largely automatically invoices the logistics services provided for third parties. The bookings are taken over in the form of individual documents and stock information from the ERP system. Based on saved invoicing cycles and algorithms, the data for invoicing logistics services is automatically consolidated and transferred to accounting via an interface.

The first project phase that unified the finance management department, IT team of MDS and the experts of inconso was completed at the end of September 2017 and enabled the shortening of the monthly invoicing time by almost three days.
