We take a guided tour of Kärcher’s gantry wash for commercial vehicles – the TB.
Wash and brush-up
ADAPTABLEWITH ADD-ONS
The basic gantry can be individually
equipped with various add-on kits.
Wash programmes can be coordinated
to meet the operator’s requirements.
The TB is also adaptable to fit into
existing wash facilities because both
height and width are adjustable.
ALL-ROUND HIGH PRESSURE
Additional mirror, tail-lift and
spoiler programmes are available
to cover all kind of vehicle
contours. To meet individual
requirements the TB can be
equipped with all-round high-
pressure with a swivelling roof
beam and optionally with a
pre-spraying arch for intensive
pre-cleaning.
PROTECTIVEWASH PROCESS
The dirt-resistant grey and black
side brushes and the roof brush
are mounted on the upper frame
of the gantry. Overlapping the
side and centre brushes can be
done. Front cleaning with dead
spot mirrors can be completed
automatically. Two frequency
converters ensure a gentle wash
process and thereby protect
vehicle and material.
SAFEMIRRORS
Kärcher offers a mirror
programme which you
can select as well as
the basic wash settings.
Projecting mirrors are
bypassed by the brushes
during the washing
process to avoid damage.
ACCESSIBLE
CONTROLS AND
CLEANERS
Cleaning agents, dosing
pumps and the water
distributor are stored
in the right-hand gantry
column. The control
unit is protected in the
left-hand gantry column.
Both sides are easily
accessible from the
front.
MODULAR AND DURABLE
The technology of the TB is modular
in design and geared to durability. The
low-maintenance drives, bearings and
guides need no oil or grease. All steel
parts are galvanised and, if required,
powder-coated. Components which
continually come into contact with water
and cleaning agents such as doors,
coverings and guide rails are made of
high-quality plastics or stainless steel.
FOAMAND PRE-CLEANING
The control system enables the
operator to supplement the basic
wash programmes for all common
types of vehicles such as trucks with
and without trailers or buses, with any
additional programmes they require.
Two examples are foam or intensive
pre-cleaning.
