The Craemer Group, one of Europe’s
leading plastics processing and
manufacturing companies, has
recognised the above fact serving an
ever-growing client base whilst also
pushing forward into new markets
with sturdy, ergonomic and future-
proof products. To help enable this
highly agile manufacturing and
sales platform the company recently
expanded its UK operation, whilst
at the same time launching a new
pallet production enterprise within its
Telford plant.
Reusable solutions
The company is already known
in the UK for its strong focus on
manufacturing wheeled bins of
the famous Kliko brand, which
are supplied to over 40% of local
authorities across the UK. Now the
new plastic pallet production line
at Craemer’s UK production facility
in Shropshire will help bolster
the company’s reputation in the
reusable material handling solutions
marketplace.
The launch of plastic pallet production
at its UK operation was earlier this year
and already there is a distinct buzz at
the hub. Steve Poppitt, Sales Director
at Craemer UK, believes that there is
a big market for the company’s new
products. “We are already a popular
brand amongst the automotive, fishing
and agricultural industries and also
the local authority refuse collection
markets,” he says.
“The scope that the new pallet
production facility in the UK now
gives us means that we can target
new, specific sectors of the materials
handling industry and give them
future-proof products that will
enable greater efficiencies, as well as
helping improve safety and security.”

and material handling solutions in our

Poppitt (pictured wearing a suit)
believes that all sectors of the UK
materials handling industry are now
beginning to accept the strong
arguments for the use of durable,
hygienic plastic pallets as a cost
effective alternative to conventional
wooden products.
The popularity of the plastic pallet, amongst the materials
handling industry and within the internal infrastructures of
the food and hygiene sectors, has never been greater,

Craemer UK has recently completed
an expansion of its warehouse and
production facilities in order to future-
proof its Telford-based operations,
improve production lead times and
maintain their already high level of
customer service.
Throughout 2014, Craemer UK invested
an additional £6.5m in a new stock and
distribution facility, extensions to the
production and warehouse halls and the
installation of two additional state-of-the-
art plastic injection moulding machines.
The launch of pallet production forms
part of Craemer’s extensive growth plan
for the next few years.
“Until now, pallet production was based
solely at our German headquarters,”
comments Poppitt. “These recent major
