The demands on forklifts in
warehouses, distribution and
production are versatile: they have
to safely transport loads of different
weights and dimensions, load and
unload lorries quickly, as well as
reliably master internal transport over
long distances. For these situations,
UniCarriers has developed a new
generation of low lifters: PMR 200.
This machine is excellently suited for
use in three-shift operations and, on
account of high performance capacity,
is especially economical in operation,
ensuring low maintenance costs at the
same time.
With the PMR 200, UniCarriers is
launching a compact low lifter with
a load capacity of up to 2 tons. The
pedestrian-controlled truck can be
operated on foot or on a foldable
operator platform and, on account
of its narrow width of only 770mm, is
extremely manoeuvrable in restricted
distribution areas. The five-point
chassis with improved ‘Friction Force’
system ensures stability and safety
when travelling.
Score with
ergonomics
The load weight pressure is
transferred to the drive unit which
ensures permanent ground
contact of all wheels
and high traction
in operation. This
results in safe goods
transport on uneven ground and
ramps. Furthermore, very good braking
performance and high travelling
speeds are achieved. The low lifter
travels a maximum of 10 km/h with
load, and in unloaded condition
even reaches up to 12.5 km/h as an
option. On the driver platform with
excellent damping, the operator can
comfortably carry out longer internal
transportation. At the same time, the
foldable side protection bars ensure
maximum safety. The battery is stored
on steel rollers as standard so it can
be changed quickly in case of 24/7
operation.
Equipment variety: high –
Maintenance effort: low
Its ergonomic design and extensive
range of features make the PMR
200 an especially comfortable
working partner. The standard ATC
T4 computer stores the individual
operating data of all drivers. It can
be activated by a PIN code so that
the truck can only be operated by
authorised drivers. Examples of
optional features are electronic power
steering, protective platforms with rear
or side entry and an equipment bar
with writing desk as well as holders for
mounting computers and scanners.
The PMR 200 is manufactured
in accordance with the proven
UniCarriers modular design concept
and completes the foldable platform
chassis range, which includes the
double stacker PDP 200 and stackers
PSP 125/160. The standardised parts
of the model simplify maintenance and
repair of the truck and thus increase
uptime. Moreover, the one-piece
machine cover can easily be removed
so that maintenance work can be
carried out quickly. Another aid to
servicing is offered by the diagnostic
function of the ATC T4 onboard
computer, with which faults can rapidly
be identified.
The UniCarriers Group was created in
2011 from the mergers of the brands
Nissan Forklift, TCM and Atlet. Today,
the company is headquartered in Tokyo
with branches in Europe, America and
Asia. Its European headquarters are
located in Mölnlycke near Gothenburg
(Sweden). In the 2014 financial year,
the Group employed 5536 people
worldwide and achieved a turnover of
€1.326 billion.
