TX Logistik Signs for 40 Bombardier TRAXX MS3 Locos

TX Logistik AG has signed a contract with Bombardier for the delivery of 40 TRAXX MS3 multi-system locomotives. The contract also includes a 15 years fleet maintenance agreement with preventive and corrective maintenance that will provide TX Logistik with a higher operational fleet reliability and availability.
The contract also includes an option for up to 25 more locomotives. The delivery of the locomotives is planned to start in summer 2019.
Mirko Pahl, CEO, TX Logistik, says, “The TRAXX MS3 locomotive will be used on our main operating lines, namely the Germany –
Italy corridor but also Swiss networks. This locomotive enables us to offer our customers an effective cross-border transport solution while optimizing our costs.”
TX Logistik was founded as a private railway company in 1999. It has been fully owned by Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane’s subsidiary Mercitalia Group since January 2017.
