DFDS, has launched a smartphone app to help keep freight drivers and planners on the Dover to Dunkirk & Calais routes up to date with real-time information on sailings.

Users can receive information on check-in times, closures, delays and other sail-related news directly to their smartphones via push notifications.

“The new app supports our freight shipping digital strategy and acts as our solution to feedback from the Customer Focus Surveys. Here, our freight clients expressed that they would like us to be easier to work with, and that we come up with solutions and communicate fast. This is exactly what our app does, even though it is still at an initial stage and will be further developed quickly,” says Sean Potter, Freight Shipping Digital Officer.

The app, which began roll out with a soft-launch in October is 2017, is now available in 10 languages and can be downloaded for Android and IOS via the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
