Victor Products Limited, a subsidiary of Federal Signal Corporation, has relocated its North East manufacturing facility to the Port of Tyne at Tyne Dock, South Shields. The move will enable the business to increase efficiency, get goods to market more quickly and provide expansion opportunities.

First established in 1929, Victor Products is recognised as the world’s leading manufacturer of electrical connectors and LED lighting for the underground mining industry and has over 85 years of experience in manufacturing specialist mining and tunnelling equipment with facilities located in Europe, the United States and South Africa.

Victor Products will occupy combined manufacturing and office space in one of the Port’s modern industrial units. The move will see Victor Products manufacture a diverse range of components at the Port of Tyne facility that will be destined for use in underground mining facilities around the world.

Over 100 commercial tenants are based at the Port of Tyne across its sites north and south of the River Tyne.
