DEMATIC APPOINTS STUART STABLES AS HEAD OF PRODUCT SOLUTIONS

Dematic - the global leading provider of intelligent solutions for logistics, warehousing and materials handling – has appointed Stuart Stables as Head of Product Solutions. Stuart joined Dematic 12 months ago in the role of Product Solution Sales, helping to develop the company’s new Product Solutions division. In his new role Stuart also takes responsibility for project delivery and will continue to drive the growth of the division.

Stuart’s career includes working for pan-European wholesale and retail pharmacy group Alliance UniChem, now part of the Boots Group. He then entered the third party logistics sector, spending a number of years working for PB Logistics, now part of IDS Logistics, first as Operations Manager and then becoming Logistics Development Executive. In this role Stuart took charge of the PB’s southern distribution centres, which included a 1 million sq ft warehouse servicing contracts for major high street retail apparel customers. Running these warehouses meant Stuart implemented a number of automated solutions and this led to his appointment as Sales Director at SDI Group, where he worked for 2 years before joining Dematic.

The Product Solutions division has opened up a growing and sizeable market for Dematic, offering customers smaller islands of automation, which they can then build up over a number of years into more integrated solutions..

Commenting on his new role, Stuart said: “Dematic is renowned for being a highly skilled integrator for large systems and prior to the Products Solutions division, had not always been viewed by many customers as a provider of smaller, standalone systems. As the economic situation puts some larger systems on hold and leads companies to look for solutions offering lower levels of investment, and even more rapid returns, Dematic has invested in setting up a team of industry experts in the sales of solutions, and products such as conveyor picking and packing systems, voice picking technology, and laser truck solutions. By streamlining processes in our business we can deliver less complex systems, with extremely rapid returns on investments.”
