Agility opens new logistics centre in Stuttgart
Agility, a leading global logistics provider, has ceremoniously
opened a new logistics centre in Korntal-Münchingen, northwest of Stuttgart. The facilities were
inaugurated on June 18, in the presence of the Mayor of Korntal-Münchingen, Dr. Wolf, Agility’s
overseeing architect, Michael Juhr, General Manager for Germany, Poland, and the Benelux
countries, Thomas Peikert, CEO for Europe, Beat Simon, as well as over 60 customers and area
employees.
The 9,000 sq m centre includes a 4,500 sq m storage area, a 1,500 sq m picking and packaging
area, a 3,000 sq m handling area, as well as 13 heavy goods vehicles loading ramps (HGV). Apart
from manifold warehousing services, the centre focuses on providing road freight to and from all
major European cities as well as international sea freight and air freight. The facility is equipped to
cater for the specific needs of the high-tech, retail and automotive industries.

The opening of the centre represents an important milestone for Agility’s Area Central Europe
region. The warehouse system of the facility provides full visibility on the status of shipments while
the facility also allows Agility to adopt an even more tailor-made approach to catering for
customers’ individual needs. The value added services on offer range from stock and order
management, picking, foliation and finishing/enhancement services such fitting and mixing to
configuration and assembly services and quality control.
