New Logistex sets the pace as full 4th Party integrator

Leading international automated logistics systems supplier Logistex has redirected its business strategy to become the first 4th Party integrator with no restrictive manufacturing ties. The company now has total freedom to seek out, specify and integrate best-in-class products and equipment from anywhere in the world that most effectively meet the client’s needs, without reservation or compromise.

Combined with its unrivalled experience and expertise in automated storage and handling systems, the company is determined that this initiative will deliver the highest industry standards of client service and performance.

Freedom of choice fires freedom of imagination too. And the company’s structure and ethos are designed to stimulate fresh ideas and to open minds to alternative and innovative solutions. The use of collaborative workshops will provide all sides with an unrivalled understanding of the client’s business - and ensure that concepts and visions are developed into practical and productive solutions, with an excellent return on investment.

As a symbol of this and other initiatives the company has changed its name from FKI Logistex to Logistex, reflected in a new Corporate Identity and website – www.logistex.com.

While global equipment sourcing adds extra value to Logistex’s business model, other services and facilities are staying strictly in-house. Software and IT systems, a key industry function where the company has an illustrious history and one vital to efficient and seamless equipment integration, will continue to be developed and implemented by Logistex’s own team.

New Logistex sets the pace..
Its Logistex Warehouse System (LWS) is a functionality rich, multi-layered and highly configurable warehouse management and control system proven in warehouse environments across Europe.

The company continues to operate one of the industry’s largest and most experienced after-sales lifetime support teams, offering 24 hour, 365 days a year response and support.

Logistex is also acutely aware that the way in which a supplier treats its customers, suppliers and associates provides fertile ground to excel and succeed in a highly competitive sector. A new corporate ethos under the banner “A Sure Thing” is the first step in imbuing the entire organisation – from boardroom to switchboard – with the ambition to provide service excellence at every stage and in every activity.
It embodies certainty, confidence, openness and trust – all qualities that the company intends to instil throughout the business and that customers will appreciate and value.

Managing director Jerry Woodhouse explained the core values that the business is pursuing. “Our decision to make the company a 4th Party integrator is a significant step in streamlining the business and focusing all our energies on delivering systems and processes that will anticipate and exceed our customers’ expectations – and those of our competitors.

While striving to provide the most practical, effective and well-designed solution, we must never forget that what matters ultimately to customers is that they are making a sound business decision. So we also commit ourselves to designing systems that provide a clear and measurable commercial return.

The many other initiatives under the banner “A Sure Thing” symbolise the pact we will make with all our customers – that we will behave, perform and deliver to an exceptional level of clarity, honesty and professionalism. This does not mean we believe we will never make a mistake. But it does mean we will strive to avoid errors, to make sure that if something falls below the standards we have set ourselves we will do whatever it takes to put it right – and above all, for our customer to be convinced they have been treated fairly and with respect. In today’s competitive market the customer deserves and expects no less – and we know our business will succeed by delivering on our promises.”

New Logistex sets the pace..
“As an example of what we have to offer I can quote a comment following the completion last autumn of a new 35,000 pallet capacity automated high-bay rack-clad warehouse in Romania for Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company (CCHBC), on time and within budget. Their spokesman commented: “With their experience in installing automated materials handling systems in other bottling facilities, Logistex was able to demonstrate that they had the expertise and knowledge to provide the maximum return with the minimum risk.”
