Fresh approach from Habasit Rossi

Habasit Rossi Ltd is bringing a new concept to the adage of belting up by giving away hundreds of belt charts to potential customers in the fresh produce sector.

The move is part of a co-ordinated campaign to highlight the specialist belting solutions and service the company provides for the fruit and vegetable handling industry.

West Yorkshire based Habasit Rossi, will be mailing potential customers over the next few weeks with an information pack and the offer of a free belting audit. Companies accepting the audit will also be automatically given a belt chart and invited to put Habasit Rossi's 24/7 service to the test, by calling its dedicated sales support number.

A key part of the campaign is to highlight that the conveyor belts can be retrofitted. Advantages offered by retrofitting include quicker cleaning times, localised repairs in the event of a belt breakage and overall reduced downtime.

With a large choice of different belts including plastic and fabric solutions, Habasit Rossi is already the dominant player in the European market and is keen that even more UK companies benefit from its extensive range of solutions.

These include plastic modular belts under the HabasitLINK® brand, one of the best known and easiest to clean applications on the market, standard fabric belts and specially coated variants. This unparalleled range available in a choice of different modular widths enables Habasit Rossi to provide conveyor belts, suitable for any fresh produce application.

Habasit Rossi's sales and marketing director, Ian Thornham said: "The decision to target the fresh produce sector was a logical one, given the company's extensive conveyor belt range. Not only can Habasit Rossi provide the right product but as equally important it can also provide those in the fruit and vegetable sector with reduced costs, thanks to less conveyor downtimes."

As part of the comprehensive marketing campaign to highlight the product range, Habasit Rossi will shortly be launching a dedicated fruit and vegetable section on its website to support its recently enhanced dedicated sales team.

Fresh produce suppliers interested in receiving a free audit report, can short circuit the mailing by contacting Habasit Rossi direct on 0870 835 9555.
