Chaintec expansion into Eastern Europe set to increase export sales

Chaintec, the country’s leading supplier of leaf chain to the forklift truck replacement market, has expanded its operation into Eastern Europe, following the company’s successful attendance at the recent 14th International Fair of Road Construction Industry AUTOSTRADA-POLSKA, held in May 2008.

Over the last 2 years, Chaintec has strengthened its position in the UK to become the largest supplier of leaf chain to the replacement FLT market and grown its export business, which now represents in excess of 25% of its business.

David Hassan, Managing Director of Chaintec outlines the strategy behind the company’s export growth, “Chaintec supply all the big names in the UK and our business has built an enviable reputation across Western Europe by supplying high quality chain at competitive prices with swift delivery. To continue our expansion we are now delivering on our strategy to repeat our winning formula across Eastern Europe.”

The AUTOSTRADA-POLSKA exhibition provided an excellent opportunity for the Chaintec team to build relationships with prospective industry contacts and potential distributors, who will provide local support for the Polish marketplace. David Hassan continues, “Taking Chaintec into Poland will provide us with a springboard into other Eastern European countries, broadening our European footprint and ultimately strengthening our business.”

Chaintec has over 15 years experience servicing the forklift replacement market, plus hoist and conveyor applications and has a reputation for expertise and service. The company’s database of trucks, model numbers and OEM part numbers leads the industry and enables the customer services team to identify the correct chain for any unit. This takes the burden away from the service manager and improves the accuracy and consistency of chain supply, so reducing downtime.
