Rhenus Contract Logistics opens new location in Tilburg, the Netherlands
Rhenus Contract Logistics is set to open a new logistic centre in Tilburg. The location, which is based in the Kraaiven industrial area, comprises approximately 18,000 square metres and will be used for Rhenus’ ever-expanding activities in the field of e-commerce logistics. The total storage capacity for Rhenus Contract Logistics in Tilburg now totals around 100,000 square metres.
“Our e-commerce services will be sited at the new location”, says Alphons van Erven, division director for Rhenus Contract Logistics in the Netherlands, “including storage, distribution, as well as order fulfilment, kitting and assembly”.
Two internationally operating e-commerce clients will be stationed at the new centre. The opening of the new storage space means Rhenus Contract Logistics will have a total of four locations in Tilburg.
“This campus set-up is enabling us to create a greater scale of operations, and thanks to staff members being interchangeable we are not only becoming more efficient and effective, but now also have the space to grow again”.
The new location means that Rhenus Contract Logistics now has seven logistics centres in the Netherlands involved in European supply chain activities for e-commerce and the healthcare and technology industry.
