 Kögel Mega: Three metres loading height and just four metres total height
 The forwarding company Mahlstedt receives ten Mega trailers for its fleet

The forwarding company Mahlstedt GmbH from Delmenhorst recently took delivery of ten new Kögel Mega trailers. The height-optimised trailers really made a hit on two fronts with Mahlstedt: They are not only optimum for carrying out of volume transport, but also comply with the permissible total height of four metres, with a trailer coupling height of 91 centimetres, whilst providing an internal load height of three metres.

In the Kögel Mega, the forwarding company has chosen a modern commercial vehicle solution. Height optimisation of the Mega has been achieved by the tyre selection and an intelligent reduction in the trailer mount height from 90 to 55 millimetres - whilst keeping the stability the same. With a tare weight starting at 6.4 tons, a high payload capacity is guaranteed. This makes the Mega trailer one of the most economical volume trailers in its class. Thanks to the useful internal height of three metres, the volume miracle from Burtenbach is also optimally suited for loading three-high stacks of pallet cages. The standard mechanical-hydraulic lifting roof helps when loading and unloading - it increases the lateral and rear through-loading height to three metres.

Mahlstedt special equipment
Mahlstedt has also chosen the solutions provided by Kögel for simplified loading and unloading with the ten trailers that it has in use: The corner posts on the back wall can each be extended laterally by 500 millimetres. To provide a complete loading facility from above, the sliding roof can also be moved from the front to the back. In addition, the Mega trailers are laid out for special use in the automotive sector in accordance with Daimler guideline 9.5.
