KARDEX GROUP BUYS MLOG LOGISTICS FOR EUR30 MILLION

Swiss warehouse equipment specialist Kardex Group has purchased MLOG Logistics, the leading supplier of automated materials handling systems and stacker cranes, in a EUR30 million deal. The acquisition is part of an ongoing strategy to create an end-to-end supplier of automated storage solutions and materials handling equipment. MLOG Logistics will be fully integrated the Kardex Group and complement two existing operating divisions Kardex Remster and Kardex Stow that provide dynamic and static storage systems respectively.

MLOG Logistics’ stacker crane and materials handling systems complement Kardex Group's existing product portfolio. “The integration of MLOG is a major step towards achieving our strategic goal of becoming a one stop shop supplier of automated storage solutions and materials handling systems," explains Kardex Group Chief Executive Officer Jos De Vuyst. “The product portfolio is to be augmented this year by the miniload crane. Kardex Stow will also be expanding the joint product range with the launch of the new silo high-bay warehouses and pallet shuttles. What is more, the integration offers substantial synergies in product and software development.”
