Dr. Thomas Borghoff is New Managing Director for Sales

Beckum, Dec. 9, 2009. – The BEUMER Group, a leading international manufacturer of intralogistic systems for conveying and loading, palletizing and packaging technology, as well as sortation and distribution systems, headquartered in Beckum, Germany, has increased the membership of its Managing Board by appointing Dr. Thomas Borghoff (42) to Managing Director Sales. “It’s an exciting challenge,” comments Borghoff, “all the more since our business is becoming increasingly international, not least with the acquisition of Crisplant by the BEUMER Group.”

Dr. Thomas Borghoff studied electrical engineering at TU Braunschweig. He then went on to receive a doctorate in business management in Braunschweig and Göttingen. While still working on his PhD, he joined automotive supplier VDO UK in Birmingham. Over the next years, he worked with VDO and Siemens VDO in different of management and executive functions – almost exclusively in the UK. In 2004, he took up the post of UK executive director at intralogistics specialist Siemens Dematic. Shortly after this, he was appointed Dematic’s CEO Northwest Europe. Before moving to BEUMER, he was CEO Central Europe at Dematic, based in Offenbach. Thanks to his international experience in a variety of functions, business divisions and areas of responsibility where the focus was always on the customer, he succeeded in developing the companies he worked for and giving them a greater international thrust.
