New British Standards for Laminar Medica

Laminar Medica, the Tring-based manufacturer of temperature controlled packaging, has recently achieved certification for two new British Standards as part of its ongoing commitment to quality and corporate social responsibility. The first is BS OHSAS 18001, the Occupational Health & Safety standard, and the second, BS EN ISO 14001, which focuses on environmental management systems.

BS OHSAS 18001, the Occupational Health & Safety standard, ensures Laminar Medica operates a safe and healthy working environment by providing a framework that allows it to identify and control risks. The standard is designed to allow businesses to reduce the potential for accidents and meet the latest legislation.

BS EN ISO 14001 relates to environmental management systems, and ensures the company works in an environmentally sustainable manner. BS EN ISO 14001 helps Laminar Medica to identify and control the environmental impact of everything it does, and to put in place measures to continually reduce its environmental impact.
