Latest Kombi uses RFID and Warehouse Management Systems to achieve 15 per cent gains
Jungheinrich has announced the introduction of a new version of its very narrow aisle EKX 513-515 Kombi order picker/stacker. According to Jungheinrich, the truck is capable of increasing productivity in a warehouse or distribution centre by some 15 per cent.

DB Schenker plans to purchase Romanian forwarder Romtrans
(Berlin, 24 September 2008) DB Schenker is aiming to acquire the entire shares in Romanian forwarder S.C. Romtrans S.A. and submitted a corresponding takeover bid to the Romtrans shareholders today through its Austrian subsidiary Schenker & Co AG. The deadline for acceptance of the bid is the end of October. Subject to the approval of the competent authorities, the transaction should be completed by December of this year. Today Wärtsilä, a market leader in diesel and natural gas engines, biopower solutions and complete propulsion systems and CEVA Logistics, one of the leading supply chain companies in the world, signed a cooperation agreement for the 24/7 global spare parts transportation management and “control tower” activities for Wärtsilä Services.
